Dark match: Micheal Oku defeated Viper Perabo.
Britt Baker and Mercedes Mone’s no-contact contract signing was charged with tension. Both delivered strong promos, with no physical altercations as agreed. The scene escalated when Britt Baker unexpectedly knocked Kamille into Mercedes, then posed triumphantly with the championship belt, all without Jamie Hayter’s involvement.
Chris Jericho delivered a provocative pre-match promo, challenging Tommy Billington’s claim to the “Dynamite Kid” moniker.

During the match, Billington showcased a lot of offense, which led to the crowd teasing Jericho about retiring—prompting him to retort that they only wanted him to retire so he could boost Cardiff City Football Club. Jericho ultimately secured the win by converting a diving headbutt into a Codebreaker.
Post-match, Jericho vowed to target Hook next, Hook appeared for a confrontation but was blindsided by Big Bill’s chokeslam, leaving the Learning Tree to dominate the scene.
Toni Storm retained her AEW Women’s Championship against Saraya, with the crowd clearly favoring Toni. After the match, Mariah May attacked Toni with a shoe.
Up next was a heated confrontation between MJF and Ospreay, which had the crowd standing and excited from their intense verbal exchange. As the situation escalated, Ospreay landed a punch on MJF, sparking a brawl. Security and personnel quickly rushed into the ring to separate the two. Ospreay and MJF would beat down the security before Ospreay got laid out by MJF. MJF hinted at using the Tiger Driver, but security stepped in before any move could be made.
In a backstage segment, Renee interviewed Hangman Page who confirmed his participation in Sunday’s gauntlet match. Evil Uno interrupted to reveal he was also in the gauntlet, prompting Hangman to take him down. Hangman then fiercely declared into the camera that he’s ready to take on anyone and everyone in his path.
AEW Continental Championship: Kazuchika Okada vs. Claudio Castagnoli. Okada and Claudio ended in a 20-minute time limit draw. The Young Bucks and Jack Perry appeared. Matt Jackson teased the crowd by asking if they wanted five more minutes, only to shut it down, saying it wasn’t going to happen. The Bucks then tried to force Claudio out of the ring, but Darby Allin and FTR intervened, leading to a six-man tag match that quickly escalated into a massive brawl. Amid the chaos, Claudio and Okada continued their skirmish, taking it backstage as the bell rang.
Darby Allin and FTR secured a victory over Jack Perry and The Young Bucks in a fast-paced, dynamic match. Halfway through, The Elite attempted to leave, but Dax Harwood’s daring dive stopped them in their tracks. The match concluded with Matt Jackson enduring a sequence of devastating moves: a superplex from Dax, a frog splash from Cash Wheeler, and a coffin drop from Darby Allin. Post-match, The Acclaimed made their entrance, with Max Caster boldly declaring that they would take the belts home on Sunday. Anthony Bowens added that they had nothing left to prove, and that neither FTR nor The Young Bucks could beat them, leading to an intense stare-down from FTR in the ring.
Meanwhile, backstage, Renee began interviewing a bloodied Ospreay, but before he could speak, Bryan Danielson interrupted, emphatically urging him to “do it” and hit the Tiger Driver on MJF.
Final Showdown: AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson – Moderated by Nigel McGuinness.
Nigel McGuinness introduced Swerve Strickland, praising him as the franchise player of AEW. He addressed Bryan Danielson’s physical condition and queried Swerve about his feelings as the overwhelming favorite in their upcoming match. The crowd roared in support of Swerve, who proclaimed himself the most dangerous man in AEW. He acknowledged Bryan’s legendary status and their shared Washington roots but expressed feeling disrespected by Bryan’s retirement talks, considering it an insult to his reign as champion.
Swerve’s promo escalated when he mentioned Bryan’s family, triggering Bryan to storm out and deliver a running knee strike to Swerve. In a fiery response, Bryan declared himself the best wrestler in the world and posed a pointed question to the crowd about his chances against Swerve for the AEW Championship, to which the crowd enthusiastically chanted “yes.” The segment was a standout. This concluded the tapings for Dynamite.
