About the Program

Students who wish to receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) degree can receive SDSU's high-quality nursing education in Sioux Falls. We also offer the program in Rapid City and Brookings. The standard B.S.N. program in Sioux Falls begins each January and is completed in five consecutive semesters, which includes two summers. Students graduate in August of the following year, i.e., January 2021 through August 2022. Students take coursework and participate in lecture, on-campus labs and clinical rotations in Sioux Falls and surrounding communities. Classes meet on the campus of Southeast Technical Institute in the Terrance Sullivan Health Science Center. We also offer a 12-month accelerated program in Sioux Falls.

Students can take their prerequisite courses at SDSU or another institution and still receive their nursing degree from SDSU. Reach out to a professional academic advisor to learn more.
